I do SOPPS (Sausage, Onions, Peppers & PotatoeS) every so often, but Rigatoni is definitely one of my favorite pastas! Keeping the pan over medium heat, add the bell peppers, onions, salt, and pepper and cook until golden, 5 minutes. Add the garlic, oregano, and basil and cook for 2 minutes. The perfect hearty meal to feed a crowd! This sausage and pepper pasta is filled with grilled Italian sausage and colorful bell peppers, all served over pasta in a tomato sauce. See, Giada is the one on Food TV I don’t like. For the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. In a large bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, garlic, oregano, and red Add the tomato paste and stir until incorporated, then add the Marsala, tomatoes with their juice, and red pepper flakes, if using. That recipe sounds delicious though! LOL. Add the pasta and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 8 to 10 minutes. Then again, I LOVE Rachael Ray, so you can imagine…LOL! When you add pasta to the mix, you have an easy dinner that’s great for entertaining or for a busy weeknight. Remove the sausages from the pan. Sausage and peppers is a classic flavor combination.
